Some evenings end wherever the sockets are. Vale™ has no cord: a rechargeable LED under a frosted glass disc, standing on a cylinder of real marble. Charge it by USB, then take the glow wherever the evening goes: the nightstand for reading, the dinner table when friends stay late, the deck as the light fades. One tap on the knurled brass knob turns it on or off, and the frosted shade sends the light down in a soft pool and never into your eyes. With weighted stone below and warm glass above, it is a lamp that follows the evening and does not tie it to one place.

Wipe the marble and glass with a soft, dry cloth; a barely damp cloth removes marks. Use no acids or abrasives on the stone. Recharge by USB with the cable supplied. It suits sheltered evenings outdoors, but bring it in from the rain.

How is it charged?

By USB with the cable supplied. Put it on a counter and plug it in as you would a phone, and it is ready for the next evening. There is no dock and there are no batteries to change.

How long does one charge last?

Long enough that charging is an occasional job and not a nightly one; brightness makes the most difference. With normal bedside use, expect to recharge about once a week.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes. It is made for terrace tables, deck rails and evenings on the balcony. It is not built to stay outdoors, so bring it in from rain and overnight damp.

How is the switch used?

Tap the knurled brass knob on top of the shade: one touch for on and one for off. There is no cord to follow in the dark.

Which marble should I choose?

White has soft grey veining and looks light against plaster and oak. Black anchors a shelf. The glass and the brass are the same on both.

How is the stone packed for shipping?

The marble base and the glass shade travel in moulded foam inside a double-walled box. If anything arrives in less than perfect condition, photograph the box and contact us, and we replace it.
